Mission and Goals

Gavilan Kennel Club is an all-breed kennel club based in Gilroy, CA. Our objectives are:

• To further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs.
• To protect and advance the interests of purebred dogs and encourage sportsmanlike competition at shows and trials.
• To conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, obedience trials and other AKC authorized events.
• To promote and enhance the perception of purebred dogs and their owners through community service and education.

• Our AKC Sanctioned All Breed Conformation Show and Obedience Match in late April
• Our AKC Sanctioned B Match in late April (Saturday night of the show)
• Obedience, Conformation and Agility Training throughout the year
• Clinics, Seminars and Workshops throughout the year
• Programs (short presentations of various topics of interest to club members) following most regular meetings
• Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner in June
• Holiday Party in December or January
